Rahway student accused of setting 3 fires in school

RAHWAY - Authorities have charged a 17-year-old Rahway High School student with setting three fires in a school bathroom and a fourth at a local restaurant. The teen was initially arrested last week after a fire broke out at the Madison Avenue school for the third time that week.

Authorities say investigators were able to link him to two other fires at the school, and a fourth fire in a bathroom at a McDonald's on Routes 1 and 9 in Rahway.

The boy is currently being held at the Union County Juvenile Detention Center in Linden pending his court hearing. The senior is charged with four counts of arson. His name hasnot been released because of his age.
