Questions surround young woman's death in Ocean Twp.

KEANSBURG - A young woman's body was found on the side of Route 18 in Ocean Township this past weekend, according to police.

An off-duty police officer found the body of Mary Macaluso, but how she ended up there is a mystery to her grieving parents.

The victim's father, Roger Macaluso, says his wife Laurie got a phone call from their daughter around 1:15 a.m. and said she was stuck and had to be picked up. Roger says his wife reached Hazlet when the daughter called again and said to turn around because she would be able to get a ride with a tow truck driver.

The tow truck driver, who the prosecutor's office has identified as Dexter Jeanty, of Brooklyn, was arrested and charged with leaving the scene of an accident resulting in death.
