FREEHOLD TOWNSHIP - The Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office says the man found dead in a Freehold Township house fire was murdered.
Authorities still won't identify him, but the homeowner's brother says the man killed was 42-year-old Michael Conway, a lifelong resident of Freehold.
The Prosecutor's Office also says the fire that broke out inside the Jackson Mills Road home Sunday morning was deliberately set.
Investigators are now searching for a white 2009 Volkswagon Jetta that was missing from the home's garage. It has a New Jersey license plate that reads: YEJ 12K.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office at 800-533-7443.
