Prosecutor: Jeronimo Lopez shot, killed in apartment at 261 Walker St. in Fairview
FAIRVIEW - Police shut down a street in Fairview Sunday in search for evidence after officials say a man was shot to death inside an apartment.
The Bergen County Prosecutor's Office says the shooting happened in an apartment at 261 Walker St. at around 10:45 p.m. Saturday.
Initial reports said the shooting started as a home invasion, but that has not been confirmed by police.

Neighbors say 50-year-old Jeronimo Lopez and his adult son lived in the apartment where illegal gambling was known to occur. Officials say Lopez was fatally shot inside the apartment.
The prosecutor says there were a lot of people present in the apartment at the time of the shooting.
No arrests have been made yet.
