ATLANTIC CITY - One man was shot to death and a woman was wounded during an apparent carjacking that authorities believe began inside the parking garage of an Atlantic City casino early yesterday.

Atlantic County Prosecutor Ted Housel says three "people of interest" were being sought in the incident, which occurred around 8 a.m. in the area of the Trump Taj Mahal Casino Resort.

Police say the suspects carjacked the couple and forced the woman to drive the Land Rover to a nearby residential area.

They apparently fled the scene on foot after the shooting occurred. Police responding to 911 calls soon found the victims inside their vehicle, which was in an alley not far from the casino.

Twenty-eight-year-old Sunil Rattu of Old Bridge was killed in the incident, while 24-year-old Radha Ghetia of Parlin was being treated at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center's City Campus.
