HOBOKEN - Hoboken fire officials spent much the afternoon fighting a fast-moving house fire.

A neighbor tells News 12 New Jersey that the fire started after a propane tank exploded on the back deck of the house. The fire quickly engulfed the home and caused smoke to fill other area homes.

Nine families have been affected by the fire, and a shelter is being set up at a nearby school. News 12 was told one person had to be treated for smoke inhalation.
