PRINCETON - The Princeton Police Department has identified the owner of a wedding ring that was lost on Nassau Street in town.

The silver ring has "Debbie and Jeremy June 1999" inscribed inside the band. A resident found the ring and turned it in to police.

Photos of the ring were shared on social media. Princeton Mayor Liz Lempert knew the couple and contacted police about the ring.

“Jeremy” was expected to pick up the ring Wednesday.
