EDISON - Both Assemblywoman Bonnie Watson Coleman and Jeff Bell came up winners in Tuesday's primary.

One cruised to the win and the other slugged it out and now faces even longer odds if he wants to knock off a sitting U.S. senator.

Assemblywoman Bonnie Watson Coleman won a crowded Democratic field in the 12th Congressional District. "I did not know how great or big or large the victory would be, but I felt confident that our message was resonating with the voters and that we would win," says Watson Coleman.

She now takes on Republican Dr. Aleita Eck.  No matter who wins, New Jersey will send a woman to the House for the first time in more than a decade.

Jeff Bell has a tougher fight. He wants to make some history too. New Jersey hasn't elected a Republican to the U.S. Senate in more than 40 years.
