President-Elect Donald Trump getting ready to take office (1/4/17)

EDISON - President-Elect Donald Trump is keeping everyone posted about developments on Twitter before taking office on Jan. 20.

According to the president-elect, he’s scheduled to meet with intelligence officials Friday for a briefing on Russian interference in his election.

Trump has repeatedly clashed with the intelligence community as he prepares to take office, specifically taking issue with their assessment that the Russian government interfered with the election he won.

Trump also announced he will be holding a news conference in Manhattan one week from Wednesday. It will be his first formal presser since winning the presidency.

Trump has waited longer to formally address the press than any other president in the modern era.

It appears that all living U.S. presidents and their wives will attend the inauguration, except for President George H.W. Bush.

The list also includes Hillary Clinton.
