NEW YORK - President Donald Trump singled out New Jersey regarding claims he lost the popular vote in the November election due to rampant voter fraud.

Trump is soon expected to sign an executive action, ordering an investigation into claims of voter fraud in the presidential election.

The president made the claims in an interview with ABC's David Muir.

"You have people that are registered that are dead, who are illegals, who are in two states," Trump said. "They're registered in New York and in New Jersey, they vote twice. There are millions of votes in my opinion."

Gov. Christie is backing up the president's claims about voter fraud in New Jersey.

"I'm sure there was (voter fraud),” says Christie. “Our beloved former governor Brendan Byrnes, one of his favorite jokes is that when he dies, he made Ruthie promise that she's going to bury him in Hudson County so that he can remain active in politics so that's all I have to say about that."

The president said he wants intelligence agencies to open an investigation into the alleged fraud.

To date, there has been no concrete evidence that there has ever been rampant voter fraud in a United States presidential election.
