EDISON - Power has been restored to more than 9,000 Jersey Central Power and Light customers who were without power after a line of quick-moving storms swept the state.

At the peak of the storm, the utility’s website reported nearly 4,000 customers were without power in Warren County, mainly in Allamuchy Township. More than 2,000 customers were without power in Ocean County.

The utility says crews worked in the area to assess the damage and restore power to those affected.

PSE&G was reporting about 1,200 outages in Bergen County, largely in Teaneck.
