JERSEY CITY - Service on the Hudson-Bergen Light Rail in Jersey City between Harsimus Cove and Liberty State Park was suspended through Tuesday’s morning commute after a dump truck ran into overhead wires.

The truck hit the wires near Marin Boulevard Monday afternoon. According to officials, part of the dump truck was raised when it passed over the tracks and came in contact with the overhead wires, causing some damage.

No one was hurt.

According to New Jersey Transit, service operated on a modified weekend schedule for the morning rush. Substitute bus service was provided at the affected stations.
