Port Authority conducts drill at Newark Airport

Travelers at Newark Liberty International Airport were advised to disregard any smoke or loud noises today, as it's all part of a Port Authority drill.

NEWARK - Travelers at Newark Liberty International Airport were advised to disregard any smoke or loud noises at the airport Saturday as a drill exercise was held.

The Port Authority conducted a training exercise yesterday from 10 a.m. until 12:30 p.m.

The drill took place in Terminal B at the north end of the terminal's security checkpoint and corridor. The airport says the drill did not affect any airline operations.
