TRENTON - A Monmouth University/NJ Press Media poll shows New Jersey voters are less happy with President Obama after the debt-ceiling fight.

Obama's approval rating slipped 8 percentage points since May among registered New Jersey voters, to 52 percent. But that's a higher rating than he received in a recent national poll. Both parties get low grades on their handling of the debt-ceiling negotiations. Just 1 in 5 voters polled think Republicans handled the talks well; fewer than 3 in 10 think Democrats did a good job.
