Poll: NJ voters still in Christie's corner

TRENTON - (AP) - A new poll shows New Jersey voters continueto like the job Gov. Chris Christie is doing even while they keptDemocrats in charge of the Legislature.

The Quinnipiac University poll released Wednesday showsChristie's job approval rating at 56-38 percent, unchanged from amonth ago.

Voters were split 46-48 percent on whether Christie's failure tomake Republican gains in the Legislature would spell trouble forhim if he runs for re-election in two years.

Republicans failed to pick up any seats in the Senate, andlost one seat in the Assembly on Nov. 8.

The telephone poll of 1,788 registered voters was taken Nov.9-14 and has an error margin of plus or minus 2.3 percentagepoints.
