MONTCLAIR - With primaries only days away in New Jersey, politicians are out campaigning for every last vote.

The campaign is especially tough to replace late Rep. Donald Payne in the 10th District.

The district, which is considered a Democratic stronghold, has four candidates that are looking to become the Democratic nominee this election day.

The four candidates are Newark Councilman Ron Rice, state Sen. Nia Gill, Irvington Mayor Will Smith and Payne's own son, Donald Payne Jr.

While the district is considered strongly democratic, the winner of Tuesday's primary will face a Republican challenger in November's general election.
