WESTFIELD - The Fairview Cemetery in Westfield, where Whitney Houston was laid to rest this weekend, is open to only those with relatives inside until further notice, officials say.

The cemetery had attracted massive crowds, prompting police to close it after 2 p.m today. Houston was laid to rest in a brief, private ceremony at the Fairview Cemetery. It marked the end of a weekend that saw the New Jersey native's family and friends gather at a star-studded funeral in Newark to mourn her loss while celebrating her career.

The 48-year-old singer died last weekend in California, hours before she was to attend a pre-Grammy Awards party. No cause of death has yet been determined.
