Police up patrols in New Milford after increase in luring attempts

NEW MILFORD - Police say they have stepped up patrols in New Milford after an increase in luring attempts.

In the past four days, police say there have been four luring attempts reported. Investigators believe they are all connected.

In one report, the suspect asked a girl if she needed a ride.

Police say the man has targeted underage girls between the ages of 12 and 17 years old. The man is described as a white male in his mid-40s, 5 foot 10 inches and 180 pounds. He is said to have brown hair, balding, brown eyes with a deep voice.

Investigator says the man is driving a silver four-door sedan.
