HIGHLANDS - New Jersey state police say searches could resume for a missing fisherman lost in the waters off Highlands in Monmouth County.

Authorities have been searching for Edward Broderick since he went missing on Dec. 14. His capsized vessel was found a few days later.

His fellow clammers say they are expecting the worst.

“It’s just a shame,” says clammer Justin Vopasek. “It could happen to anyone at any time. This job is really dangerous.”

Authorities say the search for Broderick could resume as soon as Friday.
