Police are asking the public to remain vigilant. Ed Zipfel, of Saddle River, says he isn't taking any chances.
"I think everybody is nervous,” he says. “I'm going to increase the amount of security I have in my home. Video in two places."
Residents are also being urged to leave lights on and activate burglar alarms when they go out.
There is a public meeting set for next Wednesday night at 7 p.m. at Saddle River Town Hall. Residents will be able to learn more about how to protect themselves.
