FARMINGDALE - New Jersey State Police have released a sketch of a newborn whose remains were found among trash at a Farmingdale recycling facility in November.

A search of the trash uncovered the infant, two blood-stained blouses and a shopping bag from a store in Orange.

An autopsy did not determine the cause and manner of death. However, police say evidence suggests the full-term infant girl was not stillborn and breathed before she died.

An FBI expert believes the child's mother tossed her in the trash and may have been trying to hide her pregnancy. There has been no evidence at this time to point to the mother being a victim of foul play, although the possibility has not been ruled out.

Parishioners at Ardena Baptist Church in Howell named the baby Emma Grace and will hold a funeral for her on Saturday.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the New Jersey State Police Major Crime Unit at (609) 882-2000 ext. 2538 or the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office at 1-800-533-7443.
