NEW MILFORD - Police in New Milford are pushing increased safety and awareness to kids in schools after receiving another report of an attempted child luring. It's the latest of four similar incidents in the area in the past week.

New Milford Police Chief Frank Papapietro says a 12-year-old girl reported Saturday that a man tried to lure her while she waited in the car for her mother.

The suspect is being described as a white male in his mid-40s, about 5 feet 10 inches tall, 180 pounds, brown balding hair and brown eyes. Witnesses say he was driving a silver four-door sedan.

Chief Papapietro said students in all schools, including high school, are being addressed this week regarding the incidents.

No children have been reported abducted and police are unsure if the incidents are related.
