Hamilton police are investigating a threat posted on Twitter against Joseph Shaner Elementary school.

HAMILTON - The Hamilton Police Department is investigating reports of a threat posted online mentioning the Joseph Shaner Elementary school.

Police started investigating just before 9 a.m. Monday after messages posted on Twitter made threats of violence against the school.

Officers searched and secured the area, but nothing suspicious or dangerous was found.

Detectives will continue investigating the source of the treats. Anyone who may have information is urged to contact the Hamilton Police at 609-625-2700.
