NUTLEY - Authorities are continuing an investigation this morning of an explosion that rattled several homes in Nutley last night.

Officials say a device was detonated at around 7 p.m. near the intersection of Walnut Street and Nutley Avenue.

Authorities said yesterday that they would not describe the device, but did say that the entire episode was suspicious and didn't appear accidental.

Fire officials say no one was injured as a result of the blast. The incident remains under investigation.
