Police probe 2 separate murders in Newark

Police are investigating after two people were shot to death in Newark overnight.Officials say the first murder occurred at the corner of Woodside and Grafton

NEWARK - Police are investigating after two people were shot to death in Newark overnight.

Officials say the first murder occurred at the corner of Woodside and Grafton avenues around 1 a.m. The victim was identified as 34-year-old Frank Caroselli, of Caldwell.

Investigators say the second murder happened on the 300 block of South 10th Street around 4 a.m. The victim was identified as 24-year-old Jesefy Keita.

Police say they do not believe the two murders are related.
