CAMDEN - Prosecutors in Camden County say a missing woman found in a shallow grave was buried alive.

Two men, including a landscaper who worked for the woman, were arraigned Thursday on murder charges in her death.

Fatima Perez disappeared from her home in Camden on Monday. The body of the 41-year-old woman was found Wednesday about 20 miles away in Monroe Township. Authorities said her mouth and eyes were covered with duct tape before she was buried.

Police say one of the suspects was giving Perez a ride to buy a car. Her family said she was carrying about $8,000.

Landscaper Carlos Alicea-Antonetti, of Camden, and Ramon Ortiz, of Pennsauken, were each being held on $5 million bail. Police said Alicea-Antonetti had more than $7,000 in cash on him at the time of his arrest.

The suspects applied for public defenders at their arraignment.
