HAZLET - Police are looking for four suspects who posed as cops, then tied up a couple in their Hazlet home and robbed them.

Authorities say four men knocked on the back door of a home in the 100-block of Laurel Avenue and announced themselves as police. The man and woman inside opened the door and four men dressed in black barged in.

The suspects tied up the couple's hands and legs before walking out of the house with $8,000.

Detectives say the two victims were not injured and eventually freed themselves before dialing 911.

Detectives from the Hazlet Police Department could be seen canvassing Laurel Avenue Tuesday, questioning the victims' neighbors. So far, investigators say they don't have any suspects.
