Police: Man suspected in half a dozen armed robberies arrested

TEANECK - Police in Teaneck say they have arrested a man suspected in half a dozen armed robberies in Bergen and Hudson counties.

Police say Frederick Agodon, 33, of Ridgefield Park, was caught on surveillance camera using a knife to rob two gas stations in Teaneck. Detectives Chris Buscavage and Kenneth Egbert say they spotted the suspect just hours after he robbed an Exxon station on Teaneck Road. Egbert says when he approached Agodon, he was carrying a plastic cup with a large amount of cash in it. Egbert says Agodon also had a knife on him at that point.

In addition to the attempted robbery in North Bergen, investigators say Agodon confessed to a total of six heists in as many weeks.
