Police: Man robbed on Rutgers campus

NEW BRUNSWICK - A man was robbed on the campus of Rutgers University Friday, police say.

The victim told police he was walking near the intersection of College Avenue and Mine Street when a man walked up behind him, forced a hard object into his back and demanded his wallet and cellphone.

Authorities say the suspect fled the scene in a gray Honda Civic.

Police do not have a detailed description of the suspect. The victim was not injured during the incident.

They are urging anyone with information about the robbery to contact New Brunswick or Rutgers police.
