Man kills wife, wounds self at New Jersey hospital

STRATFORD, N.J. - (AP) -- Authorities say a New Jersey man fatally shot his hospitalized wife, tried to kill himself, and a body was found later at the couple's home.

Authorities are investigating what ties the hospital homicide may have with the death of a person found a short time later in the family's home in Glendora in southern New Jersey.

Police say Raymond Wychowanec was visiting his wife Denise at Kennedy University Hospital in Stratford when hospital staffers heard shots about 10:10 a.m. When staffers entered the second-floor room, the husband turned the gun on himself. He was flown to Cooper University Hospital, where he's being treated for life-threatening injuries.

The Camden County Prosecutor's Office says officers dispatched to the family's home found the other body. That person's name hasn't been released.
