UNION TOWNSHIP - Police have arrested a man in the beating death of a 25-year-old who was found unresponsive in Union Township last week.

As News 12 has reported, Matthew Murrell, of Maplewood, was discovered in the yard of a home on Salem Road in the early morning hours of July 5.

Police say they arrested Yves Marcellus at his place of employment on Route 22 in Union Friday night.

Marcellus is charged with first-degree murder.
