Police make arrest in Perth Amboy stabbing

PERTH AMBOY - Police have made an arrest in connection to an overnight stabbing in Perth Amboy that they say was sparked by a domestic dispute.

Police have charged 47-year-old Justino Gutierrez with attempted murder and several weapons charges. Gutierrez allegedly stabbed the victim near the corner of Prospect and Market streets around 11 p.m.

The victim, who has not yet been identified, was airlifted to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital and is currently in stable condition.
