JERSEY CITY - A Jersey City woman is facing child endangerment charges after police say she left her five young children home alone for at least two hours.

Police say someone inside the home called 911 and hung up, so they responded to the address. That's where they found the children, who range in age from 3 months to 8 years old, inside alone.

Their mother, Shanna Robinson, reportedly told police she went to the store around 10 last night to buy milk and lost track of time. According to police, Robinson was arrested early today after she went to a hospital where police had taken the children as a precaution.

Police say the children all appear to be in good health.
