RARITAN - Officers responding to a home in Raritan for a welfare check on Friday discovered the victim of an apparent homicide.

Raritan Township Police Chief Glenn Tabasko says police were called to check on a man in the Sun Ridge development because he had not reported to work.

The cause of death was not released but Hunterdon County Prosecutor Anthony P. Kearns says, "There does not appear to be any danger to the community at this time."

Detectives from the Raritan Township Police Department and the Hunterdon County Prosecutor's Office are investigating the incident.
