Officials in Mount Arlington are investigating the death of a woman that has been ruled a homicide.Police, who were checking on her welfare, found the

MOUNT ARLINGTON - Officials in Mount Arlington are investigating the death of a woman that has been ruled a homicide.

Police, who were checking on her welfare, found the 77-year-old dead in her Mount Arlington home at around 1 p.m. yesterday. Her name has not been released and officials have not said how she died.

Morris County Prosecutor Robert Bianchi is asking residents in the Howard Boulevard area to contact police if anyone was going door-to-door offering services in the past week.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Mount Arlington Police Department at 973-398-2100, the Morris County Prosecutor's Office at 973-285-2900 or the Morris Sheriff's Office Crime Stoppers Program at 973-COPCALL.
