DOVER - Investigators have released the names of two suspects accused of seriously injuring a Dover police officer with their car.

Prosecutors say Michael Medici and Colleen Mcdonough, both of Rockaway Township, have been arrested.

They say the incident started when the officer responded to a call of possible carbon monoxide poisoning. The officer approached the two suspects who were sitting in a car Saturday afternoon.

Prosecutors say that’s when Medici drove over the curb, onto the sidewalk and then hit the officer with his car.

Officials say the officer’s injuries are not considered life-threatening.

They say Medici faces assault by auto and aggravated assault charges, while Mcdonough faces resisting arrest charges.
