CLIFTON - Police are looking for help to find a man who robbed a gas station attendant at knife point earlier this month.

Clifton police have released video of the man caught on surveillance during the robbery at the Delta Station on Broad Street in Clifton.

The station owner says the suspect pulled up to the station in a white car early at around 7 a.m. on Nov. 1. The video shows him getting out of the car and lumbering toward the attendant, who was walking from the office.

"He's definitely identifiable - his build, his walk," says Det. Sgt. Robert Bracken. "We feel confident the public will know who he is, and we are asking for their assistance."

Police say at first the suspect asks for money, but then can be seen pulling out a knife and demanding it. The attendant quickly hands over the cash and the suspect ambles back to his car.

The video shows the suspect speeding out of the gas station. Police have not identified the man or the car.

The attendant says the man who robbed him has a Spanish accent, but it is that distinct walk that Clifton police think someone might recognize.
