PATERSON - Police fatally shot a home invasion suspect in Paterson early Saturday morning.

Family members of the two home invasion victims on Railway Avenue say a man wielding a shotgun robbed them of cash, an iPhone, an iPad and jewelry.

Police were able to pull over the suspect in a mini-van on Franklin Street, using an app to track the iPhone.

Authorities say the suspect pulled a knife on the arresting officer before he was fatally shot.

The man has not yet been identified.
