NEWARK - Police are still searching for the suspects accused of attacking a man in a Newark cemetery and stealing his car.

The incident happened Sunday at the Grove Street Cemetery, not the Holy Sepulchre Cemetery as previously reported. Authorities say the 75-year-old victim, from Morris County, was with his wife visiting a loved one when two men slashed his face with a knife and apparently hit him with a baseball bat.

After forcing the man to the ground, the suspects grabbed his wallet and car keys and drove off. Police found the victim's car - a 2007 Accord - abandoned in Irvington.

Meanwhile, the victim remains hospitalized. His name and medical condition have yet to be disclosed since the attackers are still on the loose.
