PARAMUS - (AP) - Authorities say two northern New Jersey police officers suffered minor injuries while chasing a man they suspected of a residential burglary.

Paramus police Deputy Chief Robert M. Guidetti said that 26-year-old Marquis Z. Holloman, of Teaneck, was arrested in a parking lot Monday afternoon after the chase.

He says that Holloman was seen fleeing the scene of a home burglary in Englewood and that the car was spotted after leaving a gas station without paying.

Guidetti says the car then struck two Paramus police vehicles. The officers were treated at Hackensack University Medical Center for minor injuries.

Police arrested Holloman in a parking lot after a foot pursuit.

Guidetti says Holloman faces charges of aggravated assault on a police officer, eluding and theft. It wasn't immediately known if he had an attorney.
