SOUTH ORANGE - South Orange police have made an arrest in the attack that left one Seton Hall University student shot and another pistol-whipped in an off-campus apartment.

Police say Joseph Fowler, 20, of Allentown, showed up at police headquarters claiming to be a witness to Tuesday night's attack. Investigators say Fowler may have offered up too much information to the detectives who were interviewing him.

Police officials later arrested the 20-year-old in connection to the shooting.

South Orange police say Fowler brought two accomplices to the Grove Terrace apartments. Authorities say they're pursuing leads on the two other suspects.
