News 12 learned that Santiago had frequented homeless shelters after he was evicted from his apartment in 2012. His son says his father suffered a brain injury in his 20s leaving him with diminished brain capacity and an inability to keep a steady job.

Authorities are hoping that the video will lead to an arrest of the two suspects. The Hudson County Prosecutor's Office is asking anyone with information about this incident to contact them.

The video of the murder has not been made public.
