NEW BRUNSWICK - Eight people were arrested on prostitution charges in New Brunswick during an undercover sting operation, according to authorities.
One alleged prostitute was arrested in the afternoon on Friday, and again in the evening, as police say she was looking for clients in the area of Commercial Avenue and George Street.
The area is home to many Rutgers University student and is close to Lord Stirling Elementary School.

The seven women and one man who were arrested range in age from 30-49 years old. Six of the suspects were charged with prostitution. Two others were charged with promoting prostitution.
