Police: 6 reported dead as a result of Hurricane Sandy in NJ

EDISON - The number of Hurricane Sandy-related fatalities continues to rise in New Jersey.

Police in Hawthorne say a 77-year-old man was killed last night when a tree smashed through his house, killing him.

A Princeton man was also killed last night when a tree fell on him as he cleared his driveway of debris.

Two people in Mendham and one person in Jefferson Township were also killed as a result of the storm.

Police in Moonachie also say a body washed up in the Hackensack River earlier today.
