Police say four people were injured when their car veered off the road, crashed into a pole and then burst into flames in Clifton.

CLIFTON - Police say four people were injured when their car veered off the road, crashed into a pole and then burst into flames in Clifton.

The crash happened on Kuller Road just before 3:30 a.m.

All four people were taken to the hospital and are expected to survive. 

Crews from PSEG were working to repair the telephone pole that was taken down in the crash.

Police say the area speed limit is 30 mph, but neighbors say drivers often speed along Kuller Road.

There is no word yet on what caused the driver to crash.
