Police: 2 arrested in fatal bodega shooting in Newark

NEWARK - Newark police have arrested two men in connection with a fatal shooting inside a bodega on Sept. 13.

Police announced that Tyrique Spruell, 21, and a 16-year-old, both from Newark, have been arrested and charged with the murder or Jamil Bader Jr.

On Sept. 13, Bader was fatally shot while trying to stop a robbery at Jamil & Sons Family Grocery on Clinton Avenue.

The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
