Plaque honoring WWII veteran lost during Sandy resurfaces

SPRING LAKE - Thanks to a post on Facebook, a precious plaque honoring a World War II veteran has made its way home.

The boardwalk in Spring Lake was destroyed by Superstorm Sandy. Several benches along the boardwalk were also destroyed, including one named in honor of WWII veteran Harold Camisa.

Camisa's daughters searched ever since the storm for the plaque honoring their father and his service.

But thanks to a picture one of the daughters spotted on Facebook, they were able to track down their father's plaque, along with the man who found it to thank him in person.
