Investigators say Torres was making a delivery for Pizza Hut when he was killed.
It's the latest murder in a violent week in Newark that has residents concerned.
"Newark is on fire, man. It's bad, it's very bad here," says local activist Earl Best. "We've got to come together as a whole. We're so divided in this city, man."
Police have not announced any arrests in the case and say the investigation into Torres' murder is continuing.
