Piscataway umpire charged after Little League fight

PISCATAWAY - Witnesses say a Piscataway Little Leauge umpire punched a coach in the face repeatedly after a verbal dispute.

A mother who saw the altercation says that Astros coach Joseph Bellamy and umpire David Delnegro III got into an argument after Delnegro asked players, ages 8 to 11, to "hurry it up."

Witnesses say Delnegro punched Bellamy in the face five times while the coach restrained himself. The game was called and so were police.

The umpire has been charged with simple assault at a youth event.
