PISCATAWAY - Public works crews took care of clearing the major roads following Tuesday's snowstorm, leaving residents to deal with driveways and sidewalks.
In Piscataway, one neighborhood pulls together when it comes that task. Some are firm believers in the power of the snowblower, but neighbors say the fine powdery texture of the snow made it easier to remove with shovels.
Steve Carter should know. He did the sidewalks for his whole block. "Well, you may have to do some a couple of times, but yeah, its a lot easier," he says.
Some families were happy for the snow day, since the kids were able to get out there and do a lot of the work that Mom and Dad don't want to do.
